Kaitlyn’s Urban Curls

Ok, here’s the medium length Redken Urban Curls I did last Thursday on Kaitlyn.  I was lucky that she had “Virgin” (unprocessed) hair and I didn’t have to take any special precautions from my bag of tricks.  We took professional before pictures (to be posted at a later date); the afters are my amateur attempt.

I think you’ll get a good idea of our results though.  Kaitlyn went from ho-hum straight to hubba-hubba sexy, tousled waves; just in time for summer.  Next we’ll be adding a few highlights and maybe a glaze overlay of color!  Stay-tuned in the next couple of weeks for Kaitlyn’s final step in her sultry-summer-hair transformation!

-Stylishly yours,

Vanessa

nice curls.. your bag of tricks are usually so cool… you’ve gone in the bag a few times for me. thank u. can i do the same with a small curing iron? or what should i get for those summer curls? Rayna

    • Thanks! You can get the same look by first using mousse on clean, damp hair; then a light layer of thermal protectant, dry.
Next use a large (2 1/2-3″) barrel curling iron, taking large random sections. Let cool 5-10 min when done, turn head upside down
& finger comb through. Lastly, flip head upright pulling Bumble & Bumble’s Brilliantine through mid-shaft to ends for further
curl definition. Voila-sexy, tousled waves! Good luck!
